ウイスキー至上初、宇宙に旅立った「ARDBEG」のSPACE EVENT を科学未来館で開催いたしました。
国際宇宙ステーションの無重力空間での樽熟成に挑戦した「ARDBEG」は2014年秋、地球に帰還。
この宇宙を旅したアイラモルトの実験を祝って、世界10都市ではイベントを開催。その記念すべき第一回が東京にて行われました。蒸留責任者のビル・ラムズデン博士も来日し、遥かなる宇宙とシングルアイラモルトの魅力に迫った一晩です。

ARDBERG SPACE EVENT was held at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. ARDBERG is the first whisky in space. It was matured in a whisky barrel in zero gravity at the International Space Station and returned to Earth in 2014.
The success of the Islay malt whisky traveling to space and back was celebrated in 10 major cities throughout the world and the very first event was held in Tokyo. The Chief Distiller, Dr. Bill Lumsden, introduced the single Islay malt whisky at the event.
